Program Description

An opportunity to learn about Florence's unique heritage. Walk the art-laden corridors of the Uffizi Gallery. The guide will appeal to both novices and art connoisseurs. The tour begins with an introduction to the works of Giotto and Masaccio - true innovators of Italian art history. The following artists will be presented in chronological order. Travel back in time from Botticelli's "Birth of Venus" to da Vinci's "Annunciation" to Michelangelo's "Doni Tondno" and more. As you walk through the corridors of the Uffizi Gallery, there will be an opportunity to observe the panoramic view of the city through the windows. After the guided tour, you can stay in the gallery until it closes. This is a great opportunity to sample a coffee or spritz from Uffizi's Cafe and enjoy it on the observation deck.
