Program Description

Explore the authentic side of Cyprus on a full-day jeep safari from Paphos, travelling deep into the island's mountainous interior. This adventure combines nature, local traditions and cultural discoveries, taking you along small mountain roads and dirt tracks through the spectacular landscapes of the Troodos Mountains.

Along the way, you'll pass through traditional mountain villages, where narrow streets, stone-built houses and local cafés offer a glimpse into everyday life in rural Cyprus. Enjoy short walks through these charming settlements and take the opportunity to stop at a traditional kafenio for a refreshing drink or a cup of Cypriot coffee.

One of the first highlights is the Great Rock, an impressive natural monument rising dramatically above a small stone-built village. Its unusual shape and striking surroundings make it one of the area's most memorable landmarks and a perfect spot for photographs.

The journey continues into the Troodos forests, where you'll visit Gelefos Bridge, a historic Venetian stone bridge built over a flowing mountain stream. Surrounded by woodland, this centuries-old landmark offers a peaceful setting, with the option of taking a short walk through the forest towards the river.

Next, travel through pine forests to a beautiful mountain waterfall, where cool water cascades down a rocky cliff. Surrounded by lush vegetation and natural springs, this peaceful spot is ideal for a short break and photographs.

You'll also visit Omodos, one of the best-known villages in the Limassol wine-growing region. Stroll along its cobbled streets, explore the traditional surroundings or relax with a Cypriot coffee at a local café. There will also be an opportunity to visit the Monastery of the Holy Cross (Timios Stavros), traditionally associated with Saint Helena and dating back to the 4th century.

During the day, enjoy an included lunch at a traditional mountain village taverna, featuring a selection of freshly prepared local dishes, including vegetarian options. Wine, water and lemonade are also included, giving you the opportunity to sample Cypriot flavours in a relaxed mountain setting.

Towards the end of the tour, you'll visit Petra tou Romiou, the legendary birthplace of Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love and beauty. Admire the famous coastal rock formations, take memorable photographs and, during the summer months, enjoy the opportunity for a swim.
