Program Description
Discover the diverse sides of Kos – from ancient landmarks and traditional villages to scenic coastal landscapes. This full-day experience lets you explore the island’s highlights, feel its authentic atmosphere and taste local products.
You will begin in Kos Town, where history blends with everyday life. You will see the ancient Agora – once the social and commercial heart of the city – and stop by the legendary Hippocrates Tree, where, according to tradition, the father of medicine taught his students. Walking through the charming narrow streets of the old town, you will reach Elefteria Square, a lively meeting point filled with local shops and hidden corners.
Next, you will visit an olive oil workshop, where you will learn about traditional production methods and discover why Greek olive oil is so highly valued worldwide.
The journey continues to the mountain village of Zia, one of the most picturesque spots on the island. During your free time, you can stroll through its traditional streets, take photos of stunning views and browse local handicraft shops.
Later, you will head to the Kefalos region, where you will experience the island’s more untouched and natural side. This is where you will find some of the most beautiful beaches on Kos – perfect for relaxing, swimming in crystal-clear waters or enjoying lunch at a seaside restaurant.
You will also visit Mylotopi, an authentic village in Kefalos offering panoramic views and showcasing the characteristic architecture of the Dodecanese region. At the end of the day, you will stop at a honey workshop, where you will learn about honey production, taste traditional sweets and have the opportunity to purchase local products.
The order of the visits and the programme may be subject to change.
