Program Description

Step into the world of the Polish royal court and discover a place where history, art and architecture come together. A visit to Wilanów Palace introduces you to the story of King Jan III Sobieski, its richly decorated interiors and the gardens surrounding the former royal residence.

The history of the palace dates back to the 17th century, when it was built on the initiative of King Jan III Sobieski. The residence was later expanded and modified while retaining its Baroque character. Today, it forms an important part of Warsaw’s historical and artistic heritage.

Inside the palace, you will explore richly decorated rooms featuring historic furnishings, European paintings, sculptures and other works of art. The visit includes the King’s and Queen’s Apartments, the White Hall, the Etruscan Cabinet and the Chapel. Together, these interiors offer an insight into the character of the former royal residence and the life connected with it.

You will also discover the Wilanów Palace Gardens, where different styles of garden design surround the historic residence. The gardens complement the palace and offer another perspective on the former royal estate.

Wilanów Palace is a chance to learn more about King Jan III Sobieski, explore royal interiors and discover an important part of Warsaw’s cultural heritage.
