Program Description

Embark on a journey through Tunisia's most remarkable historical landmarks, where the rich heritage of the Arab world meets the grandeur of the Roman Empire. This excursion takes you to some of the country's most iconic destinations, each offering a fascinating insight into Tunisia's past.

Your first stop is Kairouan, one of the holiest cities in Islam. Here, you will visit the Great Mosque of Sidi Okba, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and stroll through the historic medina, whose narrow streets evoke the atmosphere of a traditional Arab bazaar. You will also see the Sacred Spring of Barouta, regarded as the oldest well in North Africa.

The journey continues to El Jem, where you will explore one of the world's largest and best-preserved Roman amphitheatres. Once capable of seating around 35,000 spectators, this impressive monument offers a vivid glimpse into the era of gladiators and Roman spectacles.

Your final stop is Monastir, the hometown of Tunisia's first president. Here, you will discover a city where historic monuments have been preserved in their full splendour, offering a unique perspective on Tunisia's more recent history.
